3. Get Discovered: Buyers will browse your items on our board and click to redirect directly to your profile.
4. Close the Deal: Coordinate payment and shipping directly with the buyer on your own terms. We take 0% commission!

Condition Guide

We take quality seriously. Every item on ThriftIt must be accurately described using our condition grading system.

• New with Tags (NWT): Unworn, unwashed, brand new with original retail tags attached.
• New without Tags (NWOT): Unworn, brand new condition, but tags have been removed.
• Very Good: Lightly worn with no visible flaws, stains, or tears.
• Good: Minor signs of wear (slight fading or piling) but still has a lot of life left.
• Fair: Visible signs of wear, noticeable flaws like small stains or holes. (Must be clearly photographed).

2. Sizing and Fit

Vintage sizing often differs from modern sizing. We require sellers to provide exact measurements. Always check the chest and length measurements against a garment you already own!

3. Quality Verification

Our sellers use a strict condition guide. Make sure to review the condition score on every listing, and read the bio for any specific notes on wear and tear.

4. Shipping & Returns

Transactions and shipping are coordinated directly between you and the seller. Refunds and returns are handled entirely on the seller's terms.

Shipping Policy

ThriftIt is a circular fashion discovery board and directory. Because transactions are completed directly with individual sellers on their own platforms, we do not ship items or manage logistics.

How Shipping is Coordinated

When you click "GO TO LISTING" and purchase an item from a seller on Instagram, Reddit, or X, the seller is responsible for shipping the item to you. You will coordinate shipping rates, delivery methods, and tracking numbers directly with them during your DM checkout.

Tips for a Safe Purchase

Always verify the shipping carrier, estimated delivery times, and whether the seller provides tracking before completing your direct payment.

Welcome to ThriftIt. Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our circular fashion discovery board and directory (referred to as the "Service", "Platform", or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you ("User", "Buyer", or "Seller") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Platform Scope & No-Fee Intermediary Role

ThriftIt acts solely as a P2P search directory and listing board designed to index vintage, curated, and pre-loved apparel. We facilitate circular fashion discovery by aggregating clothing listings and redirecting interested buyers to the seller's external profile page (such as Instagram, Reddit, or X).

• 100% Free Listing & Discovery: Listing and browsing on ThriftIt is completely free. We do not charge listing fees, sales commissions, registration fees, or buyer surcharges.
• Project Sustainability: The Service is operated purely out of passion. We make no promise or guarantee of perpetual availability, server uptime, or permanent operation. The Platform is hosted until our operational funding is exhausted.

2. Absolute Disclaimer of Transaction Liability

Because all checkout processes and payments are finalized off-platform directly between buyers and sellers, ThriftIt has zero control over, zero visibility into, and zero liability for any transaction, communication, or agreement.

• We do not hold, receive, process, withhold, or manage buyer payments or seller revenues.
• We are not a party to, nor do we act as an agent or mediator in, any purchase, sale, or trade.
• We do not verify the authenticity, quality, safety, condition, legality, or description of any clothing item indexed.
• Users release ThriftIt, its developers, and affiliates from all claims, demands, and damages (actual or consequential) arising out of or in any way connected to disputes with other users or external platforms.

3. Shipping, Logistics, and Returns Disclaimer

All logistics, including parcel packaging, dispatch times, shipping fees, courier selections, customs duties, tracking updates, and delivery fulfillment, are the sole responsibility of the individual Seller.

• Returns & Refunds: Refund policies, dispute resolutions, and return arrangements are decided entirely by the individual Seller. ThriftIt has no administrative power or mechanism to process refunds, force returns, or reverse direct payments.
• In the event of lost packages, transit delays, or damaged goods, the Buyer must seek redress directly from the Seller or their courier provider.

4. Prohibited Listings & User Code of Conduct

By publishing apparel listings on our board, Sellers warrant that they possess legal ownership of the items and that their descriptions are highly accurate.

The listing of the following items is strictly prohibited:

• Counterfeit, replicated, or bootlegged trademarked goods representing unauthorized brands.
• Heavily soiled, unhygienic, heavily damaged, or unusable apparel.
• Illegal merchandise, hazardous materials, non-apparel items, or listings depicting adult/offensive material.

ThriftIt reserves the absolute right, in its sole discretion and without prior warning, to instantly delete, suppress, or modify any listing or user profile that violates these guidelines or harms the safety of the community.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is" Service)

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE PLATFORM WILL ALWAYS BE SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR DISRUPTION-FREE.

6. Complete Exemption from Legal Action, Covenant Not to Sue & Indemnification

BY ACCESSING AND USING THIS PLATFORM, YOU UNCONDITIONALLY AND FOREVER RELEASE, ACQUIT, COVENANT NOT TO SUE, AND HOLD HARMLESS THE INDIVIDUAL OWNER(S), CREATORS, DEVELOPERS, ADMINISTRATORS, AND OPERATORS OF THRIFTIT FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, LIABILITIES, ACTIONS, LAWSUITS, LOSSES, COSTS, DAMAGES, OR DEMANDS OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING LAWSUITS CONCERNING TRANSACTIONS, DISPUTES, OR PLATFORM OUTAGES), WHETHER KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, FORESEEABLE OR UNFORESEEABLE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR DIRECTORY.

YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT YOU WILL NOT INITIATE, JOIN, PARTICIPATE IN, OR COOPERATE WITH ANY LAWSUIT, CIVIL ARBITRATION, CLASS ACTION COMPLAINT, OR OTHER LEGAL ACTION OF ANY KIND AGAINST THE INDIVIDUAL OWNER(S) AND DEVELOPERS OF THIS WEBSITE. YOU AGREE TO FULLY INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS THE WEBSITE OWNER(S) FROM ANY THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS, DAMAGES, OR LEGAL EXPENSES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) IN ANY WAY RELATING TO YOUR LISTINGS, ACTIONS, COMMUNICATIONS, OR OFF-PLATFORM TRANSACTIONS.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time by posting the updated version to this page. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

This Privacy Policy details how we collect, store, use, and safeguard the limited personal data you share with us. We practice extreme data minimization—we only collect what is strictly necessary to run the directory.

1. Information We Minimally Collect & Store

We only gather data that you explicitly provide when interacting with the directory's account profile and support options:

• Account Profiles: When registering, we store your Full Name, Email Address, and a securely encrypted password hash to allow login, profile updates, and wishlist synchronization.
• Seller Directory Data: If you choose to list clothing, we publish your public storefront details, including your Instagram Handle, custom profile Location, and bio to allow Buyers to connect with you.
• Contact Inquiries: If you use our support form, we collect your Name, Email, and message contents to respond directly to your technical assistance requests.

2. How We Utilize Your Information

Your limited data is strictly utilized to deliver and maintain the core directory functions:

• To display your circular fashion listings to the public browsing community.
• To securely authenticate your account and sync your saved wishlist items across sessions.
• To troubleshoot bugs, maintain platform performance, and respond to support emails.

3. Zero Data Monetization & Third-Party Sharing Rules

We are passionately opposed to user tracking and data sales. We adhere to the following uncompromising sharing constraints:

• No Data Monetization: We will never sell, rent, lease, trade, or distribute your email address, name, wishlist preferences, or search behaviors to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.
• No Logistics Sharing: Since we do not orchestrate shipping, packaging, or direct fulfillment, we never pass shipping information or addresses to third-party shipping carriers.
• No Payment Sharing: We do not share database files with payment providers because no direct transactional data passes through our servers.

4. Storage, Cookies, and Device-Level Data

We utilize standard, secure HTML5 Local Storage (client-side storage on your browser) to store authentication tokens, theme configurations, and your current liked listings list on your device. This keeps the user experience highly responsive, fluid, and premium without relying on invasive database-level profiling. You can clear this device storage at any time via your browser settings.

5. Data Deletion (Right to Be Forgotten)

You own your data. If you wish to delete your ThriftIt profile, listed history, or wishlists entirely from our system, please navigate to your Account Settings or send a message via our Contact Us form. We will purge your personal records from our servers within 24 hours.
